The nations of the southern Pacific offer opportunities, right here on our doorstep.

Recently Flightdec, with others, has been in conversations with a number of Pacific Island High Commissions about the establishment of a High Commissioners' forum that could serve to bring the New Zealand-based missions to the table.

Importantly, the approach from New Zealand businesses and enterprises, needs to be one of support for the critical aims and objectives of the Pacific nations. And there are many, from economic development, to combating climate change, to improving infrastructure.

All these issues raise opportunities for New Zealand to assist and we are encouraging organisations and cluster groups, to consider how they might help Pacific nations with these issues.
