While it would have once been accurate to describe Pertronic as a small and growing innovation enterprise, after more than 40 years of meticulous stewardship from the company’s director owner David Percy, it’s now a dynamic exporting powerhouse.
The company produces high-quality automatic fire detection and alarm systems. David started the journey in 1982 and in recent years it has gone from strength to strength.
I believe there are a number of things marking Pertronic out as a shining light in technology and innovation. First is a relentless focus on quality and R&D. There are never any extravagant returns for the owners while reinvestment in the next stage of improvement is on offer.
Secondly, the growth of the company has supported the growth of local manufacturing. That supports more jobs and a more prosperous community.
It’ll be interesting to keep an eye on Pertronic in the next couple of years. Their relentless innovation and export focus is heading for significant growth.
